Seoul

Last Saturday I had the chance to go up to Seoul to the temple there with some ladies from church. We all had a great time getting to know each other better and goofing around with no kids or husbands. It's not very often that happens. :) As we were getting into Seoul, the driver says to a lady in the back of the van, "Okay, so where do we go from here?" Response: "I don't know. I thought you knew." So, we drove around Seoul for a while, while talking to various husbands trying to get directions and/or maps. We finally had 2 of the ladies get out of the van and into a taxi. They told the taxi the name of a university that's near the temple and the rest of us the van followed the taxi like white on rice until someone recognized where we were and how to get to the temple from there. Best 5000 Won ever spent. :) And it's a good thing you can do almost anything you want while driving here, especially in Seoul. We did some pretty fancy manuevers in that 9 passenger van. Anyway, we made it, grabbed a snack, and headed to the 1:30pm session inside the temple. It's beautiful, of course. Afterwards, we went to On the Border for an early dinner. We got home around 8pm saturday night.

Meanwhile, while I was gone, Ken went grocery shopping, took the kids to the free kids movie on base, and FINALLY CONVINCED CATHRYN TO GET HER HAIR CUT!!! He said the lady cut about 4 inches off. It's still long, but she doesn't sit on it anymore. I have been trying for the whole 10 months Ken was gone to let me cut her hair or let me take her somewhere to get it cut. Ken said she did SO good and it only took about 10 minutes. The kids all had a wonderful time with their daddy. It's been a while since they had a chance to spend all day with him like that. Hopefully there will be more times for them to do that in the future.
