Cathryn was baptized and confirmed on her 8th birthday, December 23, 2012. We spent the few weeks before this special event refreshing her memory of what getting baptized means and what would happen on the actual day. She was very excited. She picked out the pattern and fabric for her dress I made her. Both sets of grandparents were able to come up for it. We had a great weekend celebrating her birthday and making her feel special. She chose to have breakfast for her birthday dinner. Pancakes, eggs, fruit salad, bacon and sausage were all served right after we got home from church. We are all so proud of Cathryn for making this decision and realizing, even if it is just a little bit, what an important step this is for herself.
