Cathryn has been taking ballet since September. She really enjoyed it and was sad to see her teacher move in February. These pictures are from her recital in December. They showed the basics that they had been learning. I always knew Cathryn was tall and skinny, but seeing her next to all the other girls was still a little bit of a shock. They're growing up too fast!
December is always a busy month for us because we have Cathryn's birthday to celebrate right before Christmas (the 23rd). This year she opted to celebrate early, the Friday night of the last day of school. She had a sleepover party. We were supposed to have a giant homemade cookie but I baked it too long and it cracked. And tasted awful. SO . . . Daddy to the rescue! Ken was out with the boys anyway and picked up a cake from the store. Everyone had a lot of fun playing, dancing, opening presents, eating pizza and other finger foods, telling secrets, and having cake! Happy 8th Birthday Cathryn!!
