Cathryn's Birthday

Cathryn is 7!  We started out her birthday week by having a girls day that Monday before her birthday.  Just Cathryn, our friend Liannie, and me.  We stopped at the mall first.  Cathryn wanted her ears pierced for her birthday.  I figured if she was old enough to ask, she was old enough to help take care of them.  She was brave.  We initially said we wanted two people to do the piercing, so we could get both ears done at one time.  BUT the store was busy.  As we were waiting, Cathryn decided to go ahead and have them done separately.  I think she regretted it later.  But there was no going back!!  She got her birthstone.  She loves them and has been very good at remembering to clean them.  Cathryn picked out a few pairs of earrings for the future then promptly sat on the floor to eat a sucker.  She was so hungry and the shock of the piercings took their toll.  I swear she almost passed out!  After the mall, we sped over to her restaurant of choice, Chik-fil-a, for a girls lunch.  After lunch, we ran some errands, including getting Cathryn some shoes.  It was a fun day and everyone had a great time!!

We just had cake and her birthday dinner with just us.  James was there, but fell asleep before we could celebrate.  He slept all night.  Over all, I think Cathryn had a great birthday!!!  Happy Birthday Cate!
