Our little boy Blake turned 8 on April 30th. Time sure does fly! Blake & Cate were supposed to have their first baseballs games that morning, but it got rained out. We got Popeyes carryout for lunch. After lunch, we let Blake open presents. He got Guitar Hero with 3 different Guitar Hero games from me & Ken. His siblings got him a watch so he can do better at telling time. :) Shortly after that it was time to leave for the baptism. We drove to the Osan Chapel under gloom. It looked like dusk, but it was only about 3pm. Right when we got there, while we were unloading the stuff out of the van, it started raining. It ended up pouring buckets. So, we didn't get any pictures outside. The plan was to take a family picture on the steps of the chapel. I guess we'll have to go back and do that. Anyway, lots of people showed up. Blake was able to share his baptism with another guy, Matt. Ken was able to baptism them both. We had wonderful talks. Most everyone wrote their testimonies to either Blake or Matt while we were waiting for the men to come back into the chapel. I made 4 different flavors of Kool-Aid cookies and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. We drove home in the rain and went to the BK Lounge (Burger King) for dinner. Blake requested a kid's meal for all the kids. We are proud of Blake for making the decision to be baptized and knowing the importance of it. Happy Birthday Blake!!!

This is awesome! He had a far bigger crowd than Nolan. And more family too!! Did he seem nervous, or just excited? What are Koolaid cookies?
Kool-Aid cookies are from "Apple Turnover Murder." I think they are actually called Watermelon cookies in the book. They're basically a simple sugar cookie with a packet of kool-aid mixed in to give it color and extra flavor.
