On March 1, 2013 Ken was promoted to Sergeant. We had a little ceremony at his company headquarters. We went home so Ken could change, then celebrated with dinner at Chile's.

Ken was awarded Soldier of the Month when we went to the promotion board. He was given his certificate of achievement at the promotion ceremony.
