Friday was my birthday. It started kind of rough, but it turned out great in the end. Ken surprised me with tulips when he got home from work. He got pizza for dinner so no one had to cook. I dug out a yellow cake mix and whipped up a little cake for after dinner. After the kids went to bed, Ken & I watched "Sherlock Holmes." It was a nice quiet evening. The family got me a necklace with a pearl pendant and new pearl earrings and "The Sound of Music." Today I'm going to go get a pedicure by myself, with my Kindle for company. Low key celebration for a low key lady. Maybe I'll get some cheesecake at the store too. Just to toast to the next 30 years. :)
