James is 2! 2 fun filled years! It was the usual Sunday in the morning/afternoon. We had a wonderful birthday dinner of Chicken Toes (no not actual chicken toes. It's a Rachel Ray recipe for big chicken nuggets.), fruit salad, and carrot sticks. He opened presents after dinner. He got some Sesame Street Kinex, a Mr. Potato Head with tons of accessories, some books, an AquaDoodle pad (so he doesn't color on anything else he's not supposed to) and a new Lightning McQueen. We had some friends come over to celebrate with us. The kids played with the toys while the adults visited and played Wii. The cake was baseball themed and GOOD! I think it's the best icing I've ever made. James was a little wary of the whole candle thing, but he caught on and we ended up lighting and relighting the candles about 5 times for him to 'blow' out, with help from Daddy. Remember to go to the blog to see the video at the end. :)
The cake before.
The cake AFTER everyone had a piece AND James found the spatula and tried to cut himself another piece.
