James & Ginger

While Ken was home for lunch today, James was scooting around all over the living room with one target in mind: Ginger. James kept eyeing Ginger's bone. It was quite funny to see him go after her, not quite sure what he planned to do once he got there. James petted her paw a few times (which Ginger studiously ignored) and talked/babbled to her. Ginger has been with us since July 2006 and was probably thinking "Another kid to annoy me?! UGH!" She's a good dog though and has LOTS of patience. She just moved a few inches opposite the direction James was coming from. She's had lots of practice avoiding kids. James & Ginger seem to have officially noticed each other and seem to be sizing each other up. I'm sure they'll get along fine and be best pals, like Ginger and Cathryn are now. (When Cathryn's not trying to ride her or lay on her.)
