Blake turned 5 on April 30th, last Wednesday. We celebrated by having cupcakes and ice cream on Saturday. Hey Pop was able to come over and a little later, the Ryan's stopped by to wish Blake a Happy Birthday. He has changed his favorite animal to a penguin and favorite color to red. He changes them with his birthdays as he gets older. He's already got the ones for his 6th birthday all planned out. He's working on what he wants his favorites to be for when he's 7. He is such a Danley!
Blake wanted Spiderman cupcakes. We decorated the cupcakes with red frosting with black circles, then dragged a toothpick through the circles to make it look like a spiderweb. He loved them!

I think Cathryn was the first one to finish her cupcake. Then she was rushing Blake to open presents. I think she was just as excited as Blake!
He got some Spiderman action figures, books, and a battery operated Spiderman toothbrush from Grammy & Papa.
Cathryn can't help but try to steal the spotlight from anyone else. She is such a girl sometimes!
Ford stopped by to drop off this gift for Blake. As you can see, Blake was SUPER excited about new stuff to color.
Blake has been really into the animals lately. Whenever we go to Target, we have to look at the rows of bins to figure out which ones he has and wants next. So, Ken, Cathryn, & I got his this variety pack to complete some of the 'families' of animals that he already has.
For his special birthday dinner, Blake requested Chili's. So, off we went at dinner time. He pigged out on the country fried chicken tenders this time. He didn't want the ribs again. The Ryan's met us there to continue celebrating. They even gave Blake his very own birthday ice cream. He only ate a few bites, so I GLADLY finished it off for him. Overall, Blake had a very quiet but nice birthday.
